I found it hard to find a decent electric guitar (on a budget) and a simple recording system to get my home grown music onto a PC. Eventually I bought a Yamaha EG102 electric guitar (from LIDL) and a Yamaha Audiogram 6 USB interface. I then installed a multi-track recording program (Audacity) which can be found on the internet for free and I was in business making sounds. I can now lay down tracks adding rythym from my old acoustic Takamine, vocals through a Shure SM58 mic (vocal lessons next) and add various other instruments. I have now added a Boss DR3 drum machine - WOW what a difference. For the aspiring muso, my advice, get a drum machine to keep that beat and give depth to the sound.
